The General Collective Agreement determines the applicable laws as well as the legal status, structure, and main principles of the organization.

The General Collective Agreement is concluded among the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Agreement reflects the economic policy conducted in the republic, labor remuneration, income and living standards of the population, development of the labor market and provision of population employment, strengthening of social protection, protection of labor rights, occupational safety, technical and environmental safety, social partnership, as well as issues regarding the coordination of the parties' activities and obligations on key socio-economic indicators.

Legal Representation and Protection

Protects the legitimate rights and interests of its members and organizations before state bodies, employers' associations, and other social and political organizations.

Occupational Health and Safety

Submits proposals for the improvement of working conditions and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for trade union members.

Control over Employment and Remuneration

Exercises public control over the implementation of existing employment legislation and takes measures to achieve fair remuneration for labor.
